HERO Brochure & Features Guide
Brief: Create new branding assets based on the vehicle look and feel for creating a brochure to outline the multi-faceted benefits and features of the Highway Emergency Response Operation [HERO] program, for the client SERCO. The inspiration for this piece is from the role-paying-game [RPG] pages of video games, with call outs pointing to the features of the truck, as well as showcasing the human factor of the popular and highly visible crews working 24-7 to assist stranded motorists on Austin’s frenetically busy freeway system.
Print Program Management from design to final production of University publications & brochures, while reporting to Publications Director for project timetable, photo-assignment & vendor bid approvals. I brought to this role previously established tried and trusted print vendor sales representative contacts, to build reliability into a deadline sensitive timetable. I met with some large challenges in putting all the pieces of the puzzle together by the close of the summer season, in order to have Degree Program Brochures, Course Catalogs, Health Coverage pamphlet and a suite of other collateral assembled in the clearing house and shipped out by the start of enrollment session. Including, pulling together copy from Faculty for the Biography Book Professors as far away as South Africa for summer leave, and delving into a deep archive room for legacy photo negatives for commemorative editions.
Analog Corporate Education Science Program
Analog’s theory & science classes program helped the design department function faster & more independently and reduce work-load of the technical proofreaders. I was offered to test for placement (based on my audio-engineering background in electronic wave design) in the Analog Corporate Education Science Program and invited to participate. I completed Electronic Engineering I & II, and Computer Science I. These were lecture-based classes lead by Analog’s R & D science members.
Successful Public Involvement campaigns center around a process that starts with as much participation as possible. Bringing the public into events to provide comments and feedback on proposed plans is vital to our clients, the engineering firm and the City of Austin. To achieve the most turn-out, I focused on shooting photography of the park areas and incorporating it to showcase the importance of preserving the green space for the enjoyment of the community and its residents.
Signage and Advertising Campaigns
For Sophtique pop-up boutique, I conceived a campaign of “bohemian-chic” & “rustic semi-urban” to match the spending power of the influx of tourists and students in the Nobb Hill & BrickLight dining/nightlife scene—hotspots located at UNM in Albuquerque. I created tag-lines, theme & photography assignments. I then designed the signage for the mall interiors & local transit routes, and restaurant/club ladies-rooms, and also ads for various publications and ‘drop-spots’, i.e., clubs, restaurants & spas.
